  • Space Battalion is an online multiplayer game where working together is the key to defeat the big boss. This game was an half year long school project, in colaboration with co-students Daan Buit, Job van Kaathoven, Kevin Sleegers and Jeroen Metsemakers. My contributions to this project were all the game art, GUI designs and audio, where the others were busy with programming, debugging, marketing, and usertesting. I learned a lot while working on the GUI designs for this project. There is a lot to take to mind when designing a game that is going to be played on smartphones. Because I worked on a lot of GUI designs for desktops, I had a lot less space to work with for these GUI designs. Space Battalion is a social online multiplayer game, where the key to win the game lay in working together. Because train stations, parks and other public areas are getting less social by the day, we wanted to make a game that would bring people together, by making them play and make them try to achieve the same goal. In this game you get stronger when there are more people around you playing the game too. You can even team up to become even more powerfull. Note: There is a curtain amount of players needed to play the game. And I did not host the prototype server myself, so I don't know how long the game will be available. I will check the link regularly, but please send me a tweet if you find out that the game is not available anymore.
