  • The Pit was my first solo entry for the Ludum Dare competition, and my second entry in total. My first was the Lumber Rumble game for LD26, which can be found here. The original entry for LD28 the Pit can be found here. The Pit is a rogue-like 2D shooter platformer (if that is even a genre...), in which you have to defend yourself against large waves of enemies. All the Pit's content was made in 48 hours for the Ludum Dare 48h Compo competition. Which means all images, music and code was made in that short timespan. The version below is the second build of the game. I modified the game a bit, so that all the mayor bugs (see the comments below the original entry on the LD site) were fixed. Trust me, there were a lot of bugs... But then again, I am more of a designer than a programmer.
