  • Manic Miner was my first time working with the Unity 3D engine, and my first time creating 3D models using 3DS Max. This game was made without any animations or textures, only with plain colors and lighting, to keep it simple for a first time. I did manage to implement multiple camera's and scripted light sources. Jason the Manic Miner was my first full 3D game I created, and I am a little proud of what I achieved, even without any knowledge about textures, animations (...that's why my character is just a simple sphere) and knowledge of the physics engine. Anyway Manic Miner is a 2.5D platformer, in which you have to keep the mine up and running. You have to avoid minecarts, destroy big boulders and change the minecart tracks from time to time, while keeping track of how much money you have left.
